Beating the Price at the Pump
The inevitability of our insatiable resource driven economy is the growing scarcity of resources that we use every day. One of those, which we are literally burning through at an alarming rate, is gasoline. This growing scarcity leads to a great deal of pain at the pump. However, I have devised a few tips for easing the hit your wallet takes from gasoline.
Carpooling can be a great way of saving money on gas. It can be easy to get coworkers in on it by getting everyone to figure up how long their commute is and how often they get gas. This will minimize the time you drive, among other benefits. There are also services, like Car2go or Zipcar which helps find carpools. Additionally, you could try taking the bus.
Good driving practices, such as going easy on the gas or brake can also be a way of saving money on gas. This makes it much easier on your engine as harsh starts and stops can burn additional gas.
Planning all of your errands in one trip can be a great way of saving both time and gas. This leaves you with more gas, more money, and more time!
